As a non-profit association, the Youth Future Project e.V. brings together youth and laureates of the Right Livelihood Award (“Alternative Nobel Prize”), in order to facilitate an exchange between the generations and to foster the societal change to more peace, justice, environmental protection and sustainable development of economy, politics and civil society.
Since the foundation in 2009, different youth initiatives work together with the support of the Youth Future Project association. The association organizes regularly large youth conferences and supports also the initiation and development of youth projects inside and outside of Germany.
Currently, the association has 30 members whose work is enabled by many more active supporters, organizers and patrons. All people involved in the Youth Future Project see themselves as ambassadors of a “right livelihood” – living and acting in tune with human beings and nature – and work honorary.
History and Motivation
The Youth Future Project e.V. was founded in 2009 by six students. It evolved from the ambition to gather young people and Laureates of the Right Livelihood Award and to work together on a sustainable future.
Our future concerns everybody. Therefore the laureates of the “Alternative Nobel Prize” do not only develop theoretical strategies for solutions but also engage in their realization. We want to adapt this idea.
Through strong ties with the laureates and their support, as well as through cooperation with further youth networks, the Youth Future Project is to be part of a global community to make accessible the awareness for sustainability, especially to young generations.
