Tagesthemen
Die ersten vier Konferenztage sind jeweils einem Tagesthema gewidmet.
Der Spannungsbogen folgt den vier Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit:
- Montag: Wirtschaft und Technologie
- Dienstag: Umwelt und Natur
- Mittwoch: Staat und Gesellschaft
- Donnerstag: Kunst, Kultur und Philosophie
Jedes Thema wird jeweils am Vortag im Rahmen der Abendveranstaltungen eingeleitet.
Plenum und Keynotes
In den morgendlichen Plena kommen alle Teilnehmer der Konferenz zusammen. Hier tauschen wir uns in großer Runde über das Konferenzgeschehen aus und hören jeden Tag ein kurzes Impulsreferat (Keynote). Sowohl die eingeladenen Referenten als auch Du und alle anderen Teilnehmer haben hier die Möglichkeit Projekte, Ideen oder Gedanken der Konferenzgemeinschaft vorzustellen. Diese Impulse stimmen uns auf das jeweilige Tagesthema ein. Wenn Du ein Impulsreferat halten möchtest, schreibe uns eine Email: conference@youthfuture.de.
Workshops
Das Herzstück der Konferenz bilden die Workshops. An vier auf einander folgenden Tagen wird in diesen 9 Kleingruppen jeweils ein Thema aus verschiedenen Perspektiven bearbeitet. Die Perspektiven lehnen sich an die vier Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit (Ökonomie, Ökologie, Soziales und Kultur) an. Jede Workshop Gruppe wird von Preisträgern des Right Livelihood Award und des Deutschen Umwelt Preises thematisch inspiriert und unterstützt. Zusätzlich ergänzen und unterstützen ausgesuchte und renommierte Referenten aus der Wirtschaft, NGOs, Initiativen und der Wissenschaft die Workshops.

Open Space und Proaction-Café
Jeden Tag findet ein „Open Space“ statt – ein Freiraum, den Du nach Deinem Belieben ausgestalten kannst. Hier findet sich Zeit, sich zu vernetzten und neue oder bereits existierende Projekte rund um das Thema Nachhaltigkeit (weiter) zu entwickeln. Alle Projekte, die auf der Konferenz initiiert und präsentiert werden, können sich am Freitag im Proaction-Café der Konferenzgemeinschaft präsentieren. Gemeinsam werden wir die vielversprechendsten Ideen auswählen. Diese erhalten dann im Rahmen des Kleinprojekt-Förderprogramms „Visionaries in Action“ für ein Jahr eine ideelle und finanzielle Unterstützung vom Youth Future Project.
Abendveranstaltungen
Jeden Abend nach dem Abendessen werden wir alle gemeinsam mit dem Bus in die Bonner Innenstadt fahren. Dort finden dann die Abendveranstaltungen (Poduiumsdiskussionen und eine Theateraufführung) statt. Sie sind für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich und werden an verschiedenen zentralen Treffpunkten in Bonn stattfinden, zum Beispiel im Festsaal des Alten Rathauses, im Uni Club sowie im Kunstmuseum der Stadt Bonn. Die Abendveranstaltungen leiten inhaltlich jeweils das Tagesthema des nachfolgenden Tages ein.

Daily topics
The first four days of the conference are dedicated to one special topic each. This „arc of suspense“ follows the four dimensions of sustainability:
- Monday: Economy and technology
- Tuesday: Ecology and nature
- Wednesday: Society and politics
- Thursday: Culture, arts and philosophy
Each daily topic will be initiatied by laureates during the public panel-discussions or presentations the evening before.
Plenum and keynote speeches
Every morning we all meet in a big plenum to share our experiences of the day before, discuss organisational matters and to hear a short keynote speech. Laureates as well as other experts but also each participants will have the possibility to address the conferences audience in one of those keynotes. The speeches provide space to present projects, ideas or experiences concerning the dimension of sustainability of the day. It is meant as an introduction into the daily topic. Workshops
The heart of the conference will be the workshops. In nine different groups (each with around 15 participants) we will work for four days following the multidimensional approach of living sustainability. Here you will get to know the topic of your choice out of four different perspectives (economy, ecology, society, and culture). Each workshop group will be inspired and supported by a laureate of the Right Livelihood Award or the German Environmental Prize as well as by other selected and renowned speakers from economy, NGOs, initiatives and science etc.

Open Space and Proaction Café
Every day there will be an „Open Space“, which is a free space you can use for everything you like. You can do networking but also meet with other participants to develop new or already existing sustainability projects. All groups who developed a project, can present their idea to the conferences audience during the „Proaction Café“ on Friday. Together, we will choose some of the most promising ideas for the „Visionaries in Action“ project-support program. The chosen projects will be provided with further ideologically and methodological support as well as an initial funding from the Youth Future Project.
Evening events
Every evening, after dinner, we will take a bus to the city center of Bonn. We will meet PhD-Students from the Right Livelihood College and participate in the public evening panel-discussions or theatre-presentations. As these evening events will be open for the public, they will be at different places within Bonn such as the Uni-Club or the ballroom of the cityhall. Each evening event will introduce the daily topic of the following day.
